Cytomel - Tiromel T3

CYTOMEL – T3 (Tiromel) or triiodothyronine is one of the two circulating thyroid hormones and is more metabolically active (compared to T4). Used as a therapy for hypothyroids, CYTOMEL – T3 (Tiromel) may be promising as a short-term fat burner and cognitive booster under the influence of thyroid hormones.

CYTOMEL – T3 (Tyromel) is one of the two biologically active thyroid hormones and the other is T4. CYTOMEL – T3 (Tyromel) is more pronounced in the body, but not more strongly, and T4 can serve as a reservoir of the potential of Cytomel – T3, to be converted more effectively by an enzyme class known as theiodinases.

CYTOMEL – Overdose of T3 (Tiromel) and/or T4 can lead to symptoms of hyperthyroidism that are much wider than the metabolite rate. Caution should be taken against overdose of CYTOMEL – T3 (Tiromel) / T4 or taking it over time.

In human studies with CYTOMEL – T3 (Tiromel) supplementation, use of up to 150 mcg per day at dosages of 40 mcgs per day was observed.The doses tend to be taken every 8 hours at every interval, three times a day.

The associated compound T4 may cause higher blood levels of TS4 and an increase in TSH not during meals, but on an empty stomach. [1] It has also been found that taking a dose before bed causes a greater increase than taking a pre-meal dose. [2] One study indicates that, despite these high dosage values, there is no major difference in treatment overall. [3]

CYTOMEL – T3 (Tyromel) and T4, as noted in this study, referring to the 1999 publication of the British National Formula [4], indicate that 10mcg of Cytomel – T3, (Tiromel), (like linthyronin) is biologically equivalent to 50mcgs of T4 (as levotiroxine).

CYTOMEL – The T3 (Tiromel) supplement is more effective in weight loss than the T4 supplement, despite its fat loss effects, being studied on hypothyroids and being administered at a 0.57 mcg/kg body weight dose for thyroid-stimulating hormone levels. [6]

In the survey studies, thyroid activity may be associated with fat mass and body mass index, so CYTOMEL – T3 (or more generally thyreoid hormones) is investigated in terms of their interactions with fatty mass.

While some studies suggest the relationship, some argue that it is not available for those with normal thyroid function. [14] It is a competitive area where some studies suggest that there is a relationship even in people with a normal thyroid function. [15] [16] [17] These inconsistencies may be due to the highly variable, normal range of thyroid hormones.

In pregnant women, 20 mcg of CYTOMEL-T3 (Tiromel) supplementation four times a day acts to maintain a decrease in serum Cytomel-T3-T3 levels. This study in the feeding state levels of 3.34 ± 0.23 nmol / L, which fell to 0.64 ± 0.04 nmol/L after a week of starvation, but remained at 2.9 ±0.3 n mol/L. [18 ] Both groups experienced a 13% decrease in metabolic rate after a week, but in the second week, when controls continued to decline, there was a 5% increase in the CYTOMEL-T3 (Tiromel) group. [18] Another study with 40 mcg per day found greater loss than the body mass index in groups given the CYTOMEL – T3 (TIROMEL) supplement. [19]

In a study of over-calorie-reduced diets (200 kcal) in individuals with a certain degree of obesity, a 150 mcg CYTOMEL-T3 (Tiromel) supplement was able to maintain weight loss rates after two weeks, resulting in weight loss at a controlled weight loss rate. [20]

In one study, the increased rate of weight loss, even though this tissue doesn't tell us what it is, is equivalent to 92 grams of a daily body weight. 

In obese individuals, CYTOMEL-T3 (Tyromel) supplementation has been to have a decrease in urine nitrogen and contributed to a reduction in urinal nitrogen rate hunger, suggesting that it has a muscle protective effect. [24] These results were replicated as a short-term metabolic clinical study at 100 mcg per day in four divided doses.
