How much Arimidex to take

One 1-mg pill of Arimidex should be taken every day. For people with advanced breast cancer, the medicine should be kept up until the growth gets bigger.

If you take Arimidex with tamoxifen or an estrogen drug, it might not work as well. Arimidex may not work well with some other drugs. Tell your doctor about all of the prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medicines and vitamins that you take. Arimidex is mostly used by women who have gone through menopause.

Arimidex while you are pregnant or breastfeeding

You should not take this medicine while you are pregnant. The baby could get hurt or the pregnancy could end early. Birth control pills and other products with estrogen should not be used. Talk to your doctor about methods of birth control. We don't know if this drug gets into breast milk or not. Because this drug could be dangerous for the baby, nursing while taking it is not a good idea.
