Cabergoline (Cabaser/Dostinex) is a substance that mimics dopamine. Parkison’s disorder is caused by decreased levels of dopamine, and cabergoline is used for the treatment of this disorder. Cabergoline is also used for restless leg syndrome and acromegaly (gigantism).
HOW SHOULD I USE CABASER?
As the cabergoline content of Cabaser and Dostinex vary, as one tablet of Cabaser containing 1 mg of cabergoline and one tablet of Dostinex containing 0.5 mg cabergoline, their recommended doses are different. You should use cabergoline 0.25 mg x2 a week. In every 4 weeks, it can be increased by 0.25 mg. However, it should be used after consulting with a physician, especially if you have liver, lung or heart problems.
