The medicine Exemestane in AROMASIN 25MG TABLET is in a group of drugs called anti-cancer hormone treatment. After two to three years of taking the medicine tamoxifen, it is used to treat hormone-dependent early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is also used to treat hormone-dependent advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women when other hormonal drugs have not worked well enough.

When cells in the breast get breast cancer, they start to grow out of control. Breast cancer comes in many forms. Types of breast cancer depend on which cells in the breast turn bad. There are different places in the breast where cancer can start.

If you have a history of or are currently taking AROMASIN 25MG TABLET and a condition that weakens your bones, you should tell your doctor before starting to take it. Women who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding should not take AROMASIN 25MG TABLET. Before taking it, talk to your doctor. Most people who take AROMASIN 25MG TABLET will feel depressed, have headaches, have muscle and joint pain, lose their hair, or have stomach pain. Talk to your doctor if any of the side effects get worse or last longer than expected.

It's used to treat:

Hormone-dependent early breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause after two to three years of taking the drug tamoxifen

advanced breast cancer that is depending on hormones in women who have gone through menopause when another hormonal drug treatment has not worked well enough

THIS IS HOW AROMASIN 25MG TABLET WORKS

AROMASIN 25MG TABLET is an aromatase inhibitor. It stops the enzyme aromatase from doing its job, which is to turn androgens (hormones made by the adrenal glands) into estrogen. This enzyme is found in muscle, skin, breast, and fat. If estrogen isn't present, tumors that need it to grow will get smaller. It does its job by stopping the body from making oestrogen.

As your doctor tells you, take AROMASIN 25MG TABLET. Take the medicine with some water. Do not chew or crush the medicine. Your doctor will figure out the right length of time for you based on your age, weight, and illness.
