What is Femara Deus Medical 2.5 MG

Letrozole is a drug used to treat breast cancer. It is a non-steroidal (Type II) aromatase inhibitor. A hormone known as estrogen can make some types of breast cancer grow faster. There is an enzyme called aromatase that helps make estrogen. The drug letrozole stops aromatase from working. This stops the production of estrogen, which slows or stops the growth of breast cancer. The half-life of letrozole is 42 hours.

Dosage for FEMAMED 2.5 (Letrozole)

2.5 mg by mouth, once a day. But you should talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.

Side Effects of Letrozole 

Letrozole can cause side effects like sweating a lot, hot flashes, bone pain, coughing, shortness of breath, constipation, high blood pressure, breast pain, nausea, and vomiting. 

Less often mentioned side effects are blurred vision and high liver enzymes.

Letrozole and Other Drugs

Estrogen and tamoxifen can combine in very bad ways. 

Also, the cholera vaccine, the dengue vaccine, siponimod, and some antiviral drugs can interact with each other. This list isn't complete, so make sure you tell your doctor about all of your medicines, even herbal ones and vitamins, before you start taking letrozole.
