Levotiron T4 Abdi Ibrahim 100 MCG

Thyroxine (T4) is a tyrosine-based hormone that is made by the thyroid gland. People use man-made forms of this hormone to speed up the metabolism and make up for the lack of naturally occurring thyroxine. Synthetic thyroid hormone makes the symptoms of hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid) better and speeds up the metabolism of people who have it. Thyroid hormones can also be used to treat some kinds of thyroid cancer and goiters, which are thyroid glands that are too big.

The rate of metabolism is controlled by thyroid hormone. When the thyroid isn't working properly, all of the body's processes slow down. People who have this condition gain weight, feel tired, and have their body temperature drop. If you take extra thyroid hormones, your basal metabolic rate will go up.

Hormones in the thyroid are important for the right growth of all cells in the body. In turn, these hormones make all the other hormones work better by making the body more sensitive to them. Thyroid hormones also control the breakdown of macronutrients (protein, fat, and carbs), which raises protein production and, in turn, energy levels. In this way, the body can burn more calories and make better use of them. Thyroid hormones are often used as fat-loss drugs because of this.

As long as the right amount of this medicine is taken, it usually doesn't cause any side effects. On the other hand, taking thyroid drugs can put stress on your heart and cause you to lose lean body mass. Negative feedback in the thyroid can stop it from making thyroid hormones naturally, which can slow down the metabolism for a short time after the drug is stopped.

Warning signs:

Replacement therapy is used to treat hypothyroidism. Cut down on the release of TSH in cases like widespread non–toxic goitre, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and thyroid cancer.

Not recommended:

Acute cardiac infarction and thyrotoxicosis that are not caused by hypothyroidism. High sensitivity to active or unwanted substances.
